Antique collectibles religious ceramic pottery (The Virgin Mary
In Prayer) . Antique collectibles ceramic pottery vessel water /
wine pitcher is good condition, especially for there age. One
handled vase has a 1/2in. chip spot on the side of braided
handle. On the flowers, the circular patterns with a dot, have
a few scrapes. Both are hand made. No indication of maker.
Covered in a glazed and oxide covering. The color which is at
first a dark black, but upon closer examination it's a burgundy
color, which has been mixed through the combination of
natural oxides and glass molding. Most noticeable attribute
to this ceramic pottery water & wine pitcher vessels is the
detailed craftsmanship to the vessel. Decorated with raised
floral arrangements and garlands with the image of the Virgin
Mary in which has been incised onto the antique ceramic
pottery vessel.

Measurements : One handled antique ceramic pottery vessel
pitcher 8 3/4in. Tall by 6in. Wide.

History: Common to the Italian decorative arts movement in
the 18th - 19th century. .Glass & ceramic pottery items were
starting to be used in combination.

You can see by looking at the pictures that this antique mission oak chair is pieced together with wooden dowels in each section of the chair.. Under the framing of this antique mission chair, it's framed with wrought iron.. Framed under both arms, below seat & under back end. Framing with wrought iron, makes it so the wood is much stronger. Marked on the bottom VA 450-7, and on the back of the antique veteran mission oak chair it's marked USVA. Great Condition, a few cigarette burns on the left arm...Great conversation piece to add to your home.. Antique Veteran mission oak chair measures 38 in. tall by 28 in. wide. Seat measures 20in. L by 24in. wide Back rest measures from the bottom of the seat & up 21inL.

sitting doll is in good - to fair condition for age. Side
arm is torn. Very detailed, grandma paper mache
antique shelf sitting doll. Real old ladies hair is
attached. Look closely at hers hands, face, ears, very
detailed, she looks like a real old lady with all the
wrinkles of age. The way grandma's hands are
positioned, she was probably holding something at
one time. Maybe she was hard at work needle
pointing....

This is a very fine antique collectible Knowles Taylor & Knowles
antique collectible ironstone China Teapot, made in 1872. Antique
collectible fine china teapot is marked #19. This has been
appraised, and is being sold for insurance replacement cost, if
you could even find one like this. And you wouldn't be able to find
a #19, because this is the only one. All pewter top lid, that is
attached.
History of Knowles Taylor & Knowles
Knowles was an East Liverpool, Ohio potter, whose pottery was a
longtime producer of yellow Queensware, and ceramic canning
jars. Around 1870, Knowles decided that it was time for a change.
He brought sons, Homer and Willis, and his son-in-law, Colonel
John Taylor into the business. Knowles was canny enough to
know that bringing in like-minded progressives, would insure the
direction: straight ahead into the 20th Century. Knowles was right.
Shortly after their arrival, the Knowles brothers and John Taylor
added whiteware, or ironstone, to the product line in 1872. This
proved so successful a venture that within a year, Knowles,
Taylor & Knowles, had completely abandoned production of the
less-refined Rochingham and yelloware. In 1880, Knowles, Taylor
& Knowles was the largest pottery in East Liverpool.

Condition
Excellent Condition, one small chip measures quarter of an
inch,on side of spout, and another speck of a chip on the same
side. . No crazing, colors on flowers are still very vivid and sharp.
This is a remarkable antique ironstone ceramic pottery piece, and
looks great considering how old this teapot is. Antique
Collectibles Teapot measures 10in. long from spout to handle, and
7in.wide. 6 1/2in. tall
Comes with appraisal certificate.....

Antique Flying / Automobile Goggles! Antique collectible bakelite pilot goggles. Has the original elastic band. At one time, these eye ware glass goggles were worn to ride the automobile & to fly an airplane. Both lenses are a thick glass. Tested for bakelite with 409, and it tested possitive. Maker mark A O on side clip that holds elastic band. I need to take a picture of the maker mark. History of A / O American Optical Company. A / O = American Optical Company, High Quality Goggles. A O's " Birth" (1883 ) William Beecher & 3 apprentices ( Cole, Phelps, & Farrington ) make silver eyeglass frames in rooms above the jewelry & watch shop. William Beecher opened the jewelry & watch shop in Southbridge Mass. on main st. in ( 1826 ). (1839) " Beecher's business expands into a two story building near A O complex today. They call the business ("The Old Spec Shop"). (1843) The first steel spectacles made in America were produced on machinery invented by Beecher. (1848) First gold frames made in America. (1869) American Optical Company formed on Feb. 26, 1869. (1874) A O introduces the first rimless spectacles. (1883) A O starts plans to make it's own lenses in the U.S. to avoid dependancy on foreign supply. (1923) Establishes 114 National outlets (branches) selling A O products.
